Sharon Tung, Product Designer
About
Currently founding designer @ JusticeText, a MIT- and Google-backed startup ensuring fairer trial outcomes for low-income Americans.
Joined during the company’s earliest stages (~4 people) at a remote-first startup and spent the last 5 years helping build core product systems and processes as the company scaled to a 12-person team and $2M ARR. JusticeText is now used by 90+ public defender agencies across the US.
Growing up in the heart of Silicon Valley in Cupertino, California, I gained an early appreciation for how technology shapes the institutions and systems that influence everyday life. I graduated from RISD in 2020 with a BFA in industrial design, where I developed a strong interdisciplinary design practice across digital, print, and physical products.
I’m drawn to challenges that reward patience and systems thinking. Currently based in Providence, RI with my husband and three cats. Outside of design: long-distance running (Strava), gaming (currently collecting achievements on Wukong NG+++), and optimizing credit card and travel points.
